Leading public service provider Amey is a double award winner after picking up Best Private Sector Fleet 250 + Vehicles award and coming runner up for the Leadership award at the Energy Saving Trust Fleet Hero Awards 2009. Amey was the only organisation to receive two awards on the evening.
The awards help acknowledge the important contributions that organisations make to reduce emissions and boost efficiency in the sector. The ceremony took place at City Hall, London, on Tuesday 17th November where Steve Helliwell, Managing Director for the Logistics Business Division of Amey, accepted the awards.
Steve Helliwell said: “Amey was competing against some very impressive organisations for these awards and it was a proud moment to accept them on behalf of Amey.”
The Best Private Sector Fleet 250 + Vehicles award recognises organisations who have implemented a broad range of measures across their fleet operations to help reduce emissions and improve efficiency. The Leadership award recognises organisations who have achieved significant CO2 savings through true leadership and green fleet practices which have been implemented with the support of employees.
